On 7 September, the new port section in Pampushamnen was inaugurated. This includes a new quay, P10, and an additional 40,000 square metres of yard. The area has been in operation since mid-June, but now was the time to gather employees and customers for an inauguration to mark the milestone in the large port development project.

– – Norrköping’s geographical location has enabled the city’s journey to become one of Sweden’s strongest logistics hubs, where we as a port are an important cornerstone. The strength of the Port of Norrköping is that we have a good balance in our freight flows and between imports and exports. Our success reflects the success of our customers and the strength of this region, says Magnus Grimhed, Marketing and Sales Manager.

One rope represented the vessel, one the port and one – our customers.

– Over time, the Port of Norrköping has gone from merely selling an infrastructure system to becoming an actor that also contributes to regional growth and competitiveness. With the ongoing development, we are gearing up to meet increasingly complex customer requirements. The port section that we are now taking into use, will benefit our operations in the port and strengthen the entire region, said Henrik Åkerström, CEO of the Port of Norrköping.
